Beauty

Previously, I wrote about an artist, a dancer. Clearly my selection talks about my tastes, that talks of what I believe attractive. Honestly for me it is difficult to conceptualize the word beauty, this time is not as you might think because I study art theory that is because personally I think my tastes are a bit  crooked. I like strange things, repulsive, well what is ugly almost always to  the rest of people.  But it is not a choice but something that drives me, maybe it is as Denis Dutton says in his speech:  A Darwinian theory of beauty, it is something of genes, which comes from long long time ago and that background plays with concepts as "adaptation", "selection" and "sexuality" or "stay". Well I know I'm not the only one who believes something beautiful even thought to the rest of people that is not,  and I know there are many people who has my same taste. Anyway, the sentences "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" I do not believe it, so I follow to Darwin and I add what I think about beauty: the ugliness don't exist , nothing is ugly (nothing is another complex word for me), everything we perceive has a degree of beauty, everything as principle is beautiful, just because that exists, just  for its existence in my presence and those degrees are the result of my physiological present....whatever,  that is my way.

Well, beauty gives pleasure, that feature, it is all that really matters to me, the rest of the ingredients appear in its soup, they are not relevant to me,  just nuances and add on to the whys and hows of this world. That is all, you don't doubt  to comment only if you want. Until next post!

  1. "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" I think that is true....because what I find beauty, not necessarily is for the rest. But that's no matter, you are kawai anyway :)

  2. I like when you say that nothing is ugly, you are quite right
And with respect to your tastes, well I think it's more accurate the phrase "tastes nothing in writing" ... there things that the intellectuals can never explain, and the subject of beauty is one.

    Kisses!
